Songpa-gu is the fourth most expensive gu in Seoul to live in. As of
1998, the rent was 40% more than the Seoul average. It is home to the Olympic
and Baseball stadiums, the Olympic park, and of Lotte world (the world's largest
indoor amusement park). An interesting residential area to visit in Songpa is
the Galleria Palace which is a cluster of upperscale residential skyscrapers. The cluster was named "Galleria Palace" in honor of the Galleria department store which once stood
on this very spot.
