Gwanak-gu Areas: Boramae   Nokdu   Seoul National Univ. Buncheondong   Gwanaksan Nakseongdae   Sillim Station           In the 1970s and 80s, Gwanak-gu used to be one of the poorest neighbourhoods of Seoul. While the rent is still below the city average (15% less than the average as of 1998), the gu has become reasonably polished. Gwanak-gu is home to the Boramae business area, the Sillim entertainment district, and Korea's most prestigious university, Seoul National. The gu is also famous for its beautiful Gwanak mountain.		Gwanak-gu. Population as of 1998: 527 thousand. Urbanized area: 11.3 square kilometers.
