Gwanaksan:           Gwanaksan is a non-urbanized mountainous area in Gwanak-gu (san=mountain). It offers a gorgeous hiking trail which is very popular with the elderly. On the weekends many old men dressed in full hiking gear can be seen hiking and drinking soju with their friends. The main entrance can be reached through the Seoul National University Subway (line #2) by taking the bus in front of the MacDonalds. Alternatinely, there is a "secret" entrance to the park nearby the engineering buildings of Seoul National University. It can be accessed taking the bus in front of Chez Jean boulangerie at the Nakseongdae subway stop (line #2).		Gwanak-gu.

Mountain 10.    This is the lesser-known second entrance of Gwanak-san just nearby the engineering buildings of Seoul National University. It reduces the time to hike to the top from 2 to 1 hour. The authorities tried to close it with barbed wire, but it was a futile effort to prevent the elderly easier access to their hiking trail: they cut a hole through the fence with scissors.
