Sunshine 60 Street:
       
 
Along with Shinjuku and Shibuya, Ikebukuro is one of the 3 largest entertainment/shopping districts of Tokyo, attracting mostly people from Northern Tokyo and Saitama as it is located on their way to the office. There are several department stores located nearby the station including Seibu, Tobu, Marui and Parco department stores for clothes, as well as Sakuraya and Bic Camera for electronics.

Similarly to Shinjuku/Kabukicho, the streets tend to be dirtier than elsewhere in Tokyo and the numerous Pachinko parlours & adult entertainment establishments might be a turn off for some. One attraction worth noting is the 240m-high 60m-tall Sunshine City tower which offers a nice view of the surrounding area and the Shinjuku skyscrapers in the distance.
