The Chiyoda district is the centre of Tokyo and arguably the centre of Japan as well. This is where are located the emperor's palace, the Yasukuni shrine, the Toranomon ministries, and the corporate headquarters of Marunouchi. At night, not too much is going on as the crowd flees to their residences or to the Shinjuku/Shibuya nightlife neighbourhoods located 10-15 minutes away by subway.
