Machida Areas: Machida Station Naruse Station Tsurukawa Station           Machida is a city located on the border between the Tokyo and the Konagawa prefectures. It can be accessed through the Odakyu railway from Shinjuku station (the travelling time is 45 mins, the distance 30 km, and the cost 360 yens). Its population grew by 13% from 1995 to 2004 to reach 405 thousand, making it the 44th most populous city in Japan.		Machida. Population as of 2004: 405 thousand. Area: 72 square kilometers.
